NJCVA ?
NJCVA. That's a name? Who can remember that! I just went to the - uh - NJ - uh let me see, newjerseycenter - mmm right - C - uh - FTVA. Is that it?
NJCFTVA??
Mmmm, let's see, New
Jersey Center for the Visual Arts. So, what is that? Seven letters?
Seven? I don't think so. The road sign isn't that wide. I think they leave out the F and the T. It's the NJ, um, what, got lost..
C
right, C..
no FT
VA
That's it.
What?
That.
Which is?
Those five letters that we said. We're NOT supposed to call it the Summit Art School.
Yeah, but, I liked SASsie.
Me too. They grew. It's a major deal now. Past being even regional.
But it was a gem even when it was smaller. We really shouldn't let artists name things. Isn't there
a union stipulation? English majors don't draw or carve stuff and artists don't name?
I don't think so.
Oughta be.
See what they do. Check out SK Duff's two students from our Childrens Neuromuscular Center.
We are soon to start a new session. Kids with real artistic leanings only. This is the
real thing, not baby sitting, for kids with disabilities (for our funding, that is).
NJCVA has students and artists of all ages.
Kind of like a mega sports complex for art. It sure isn't passive. Don't wear your good clothes.
Oh, and building construction is well under way for a substantial size increase, so class sizes will go up. Meanwhile our
enrollment has to be limited.
