Ekiwah Adler Belendez

Mexican Literary Genius

Special thanks to all who supported

keeping this youngster vital.

Especially thanks to two surgeons

Dr. Tom Errico & Dr. David Feldman

of the

Hospital for Joint Diseases, Manhattan

for caring and for

a very difficult & successful surgical reconstruction,

and to HJD Ortho Chief, Dr. Zuckerman, for his support.

Thank you Seton Hall and

Dean David Felton, MD

& Associate Dean Brian Shulman, MD

for promoting both mind and body by providing

your great resources for both.

And to Mary Alexander RPT of Seton Hall

(who I swear can make the dead walk)

God love you for being so tenacious

in nailing down services beyond those of

your own hands-on start-to-finish involvement.

Thanks to three world class poets

Laure-Anne Bosselaar

Gerald Stern

and especially

BJ Ward

Damn, you're good!

In addition to raising public support,

you have raised the linguistic bar. Now a kid

with CP from a small village in Mexico can do the

poetic Fosberry all the higher.

Hey. That's

 some Astrigerous.

 lineup of

 talent, huh?

The

amazing saga of this youngster

aired on
Dateline
on NBC with Stone Phillips.

Hey, by the way, Stone Phillips isn't just a pretty face. He is very very smart and amazing at what he does. The professionalism of that group was mind boggling. These folks did not take anything, not even the most benign assertion, at face value. They questioned and reexamined every minor detail. Carolyn Goldman, who produced the piece, gets my nomination for best everything. Man, that gal works hard.

Overall, seeing how these folks operate has earned my trust. Nowadays, that's especially important.
