When sending us video, CD or DVD is the only way. We give up on magnetic media. Seldom does a magnetic tape pass
through the mails intact using normal (reasonable) packaging. See the warning below! It is the most common problem we are seeing.
What has been OK, not wonderful but OK, is folks posting their video clips on YouTube with a security key and then e-mailing us the
key. We avoid spam & worms by only giving the e-mail address (which changes) to people we talk to on the phone. That may seem offish but he other way just went weirdly berserk with obnoxious garbage.
Video discs !!!! When making video CDs or DVDs in a Windows environment, remember to 'Finalize' the session or ''Close the session' or some variation on that depending on which version you are suffering under ... mmm ... using. Without that step (which copies computer file catalog code to the disc) we cannot read your discs. You won't be able to read them either if you change or reformat your computer. Don't lose your collection to not knowing about this. If you do not understand this, find a seven year old. They all seem to have it mastered.
There is new content. Some of it retrofits what has been here all along. Some is new. The anatomy section continues to grow slowly.
Animation is added, trying to stay vanilla in how it is done (very few people have the newest video toys). Interestingly Google has an anatomy app which is based on the same model we have been using. Gooooo Google.
We can't use that mechanism to do what we do without cutting off many other things (20% of you out there are still using Windows 95. So we have to trim glitz in favor of content. Besides, we are not a
commercial site (no ads) despite having the highest medical site rankings in the world for many years. There is almost no second place informational website where visitors spend more time. We do not measure in
seconds or hits but in consecutive hours per visit.
